Location

History + Architecture

The Zeughaus, the centerpiece of the Reiss-Engelhorn-Museen, is an armory built in 1777/1778 under Elector Carl Theodor following master builder Peter Anton von Verschaffelt’s designs. It is one of the most important monuments of early German neoclassicism in the quadratic city. Since the 20th century it's used as a museum.
